Pastor Marc Stephen Raphael
Marc Stephen Raphael was born in Los Angeles, California. In his early twenties he gave his life to Jesus and immediately started theology classes at Pacific Union College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. He later graduated with a Master of Theological Studies from La Sierra University. After teaching for seven years in public school and two years in church school, Marc was picked up by the Southeastern California Conference, serving as the children’s pastor of the Mt. Rubidoux S.D.A. Church in Riverside, California. On January 5, 2019, Marc was installed as an associate pastor of the Oakwood University Church, where he serves as the children’s pastor.
Marc is married to Rhonda, formerly Jones, and they have seven adult children and nine grandchildren. Marc loves to write songs and plays. He enjoys swimming and skating. He strongly believes that we are saved by grace through faith and that through the Holy Spirit Jesus empowers us to live holy. Marc teaches these Bible truths to all age groups, but especially loves to share the gospel with children. In his own words, “I believe God has sent me to bring adults to Christ while they are children.” He solicits your prayers that he will live up to God’s expectations.
